Creative, leading mobile development company with clients in the gaming, entertainment, and sports industries seeks an experienced and versatile J2EE developer to join its engineering team.
In addition to a core expertise in sever side Java and JSP, candidates should be familiar with the following technologies, with an expertise in one or more:
- Tomcat
- Eclipse
- Hibernate
Interest and experience in Ruby on Rails and/or mobile development (WAP, WURFL, SMS, Kannel, MMS) is highly desired.
The small size of the team and the nature of the industry requires a self-motivated, proactive developer who is able to take on many different roles as necessary. In addition to standard development responsibilities, you may be asked to:
- write specifications for new features
- research new mobile technologies
- debug client-side code
- identify development process improvements
- be familiar with deployment systems and processes
